The character Hayes, which is the name of the band member of the boyband August Moon in the actual novel and movie, definitely got some similarities with Harry Styles. Well, actually, we want to take that back when we look at the picture below.
However, while it might not be based on some fanfiction, author Robinne Lee was still inspired by Styles, but the story delves way more into the societal aspect of aging, particularly from the perspective of a woman.
