The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy premieres on Prime Video on February 23, introducing weird space-illnesses that could have been featured in a Rick and Morty episode.
We're still waiting on a trailer to share. Even though we'll have to use our imagination on that one for now, we do know another thing for sure: what the show is going to be about.
Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak are not only best friends, they are also intergalactically renowned surgeons in – you guessed it – the second best hospital in the galaxy. According to the official description, "doctors Sleech and Klak take on a highly dangerous and potentially groundbreaking case and, in doing so, put existence itself in jeopardy. Although considering their dismal personal lives, oblivion might be an improvement." Raise your hands if you can relate to that!
The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy may very well soon stand in line with Futurama, Rick & Morty and BoJack Horseman when it comes to animated shows for adults, but at this point, only time will tell. The cast surely looks like it could make for a great show.
The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy And Its Star-Studded Cast
There are some pretty big names backing up The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy. The protagonists Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak are being voiced by Stephanie Hsu and Keke Palmer respectively. They are joined by Succession star Kieran Culkin as well as singer Sam Smith, both voicing other doctors.
Voice acting pro Maya Rudolph completes the doctors, but no hospital would be running longer than a few hours without a top nurse – and here's Natasha Lyonne as Nurse Tup for you.
