100% Pick-Ban Rate: This Is The Most Annoying LoL Champion Right Now

One champion in League of Legends has been the bane of professional LoL for the last few patches. Now she has earned herself a constant timeout with a ban rate of 100% in the LEC regular split.

When solo queue players aren't playing their main champion, they often look to professional play to see what is currently good in the meta. While ADC supports have had their time to shine, there is another champion that trumps them and can actually be played by mere mortals as well.

This champion has seen less play in professional play, but not by choice. While she is extremely strong, after some buffs in LoL Patch 13.3 Annie has been a menace and has earned her 100% pick-ban rate throughout the entirety of the LEC regular split.

League of Legends: LEC Players Refuse To Play Against Annie

After some changes to Annie's kit all the way back in League of Legends Patch 13.3, she's become one of the best champions in League of Legends. Simple changes like her stun being available from the get-go, as well as some other quality changes to her ultimate, which has the highest AP ratios in the game, have also not gone unnoticed.

As a mid laner and a support, Annie is a very strong pick, something the professional players have realized and thus she was pick-banned 100% of the time throughout the LEC regular split this Spring. With her 100% presence in pro play, almost 85% were bans.

Annie has some great shielding in her kit, only made better with LoL Patch 13.3, as well as insane damage thanks to her ultimate. With Tibbers getting buffer as well thanks to some durability changes, she is a feared little girl on the rift and her pick-ban rate shows just that.

Annie's ability to be flexed into the mid lane or a support is another reason why she is insanely popular. You can pair her with any ADC or have her as a utility mid ready to tear down her opponents. Her simple playstyle also makes her insanely useful and easy for anyone trying her out in solo queue, unlike other champions in the game.

She will continue to dominate solo queue and be a key part of the meta, but in LoL Patch 13.7, her molten shield will receive some nerfs. Whether these are enough to lower her ban rate is yet to be determined though. Will we see Faker play Annie at the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational? Please make it happen Riot!
