LoL: Caedrel Loses His Mind Over Stale Bot Lane Meta

The popular caster and former pro-player Caedrel has shared is inner demons with the world, while co-streaming the LPL. The stale bot lane meta, consisting of annoying duos like Yuumi-Zeri or Lulu-Jhin, broke Caedrel live in front of his viewers. In a viral clip shared on Reddit, you can see him complain and cover up his eyes, with the outlook of yet another game featuring these champions.

We all remember the better times, hanging around bot lane with lovely engage or tank supports like Blitzcrank, Nautilus or Alistar. Trying our best to make the laning phase a living hell for the enemy duos. But these times are over, sadly. In the current Meta, Enchanter-Supports like Lulu, Nami or even worse Yuumi are ruling the Lane.

LoL Analyst Complains About Boring Bot Lanes

That the current meta, especially on the duo-lane, is as boring as it can get, is a fact that the former pro-player turned Analyst Marc Robert "Caedrel" Lamont is very aware of, since he's watching and casting professional League of Legends for Riot Games.

In a now viral video clip on Reddit, you can see Caedrel watching an LPL Game between LNG and TES, in which the bot lane duos of Yuumi and Zeri and Jhin and Lulu got picked... again.

Even before the final piece of the snooze Exodia – Lulu – is placed on the board, Caedrel talks to his stream about how he is going to lose his mind. He couldn't even end his sentence, before the unthinkable happened, and Lulu was picked. If you like the sound of racing cars, speeding around a corner, the following seconds will highly amuse you.

Ape Noises And A New Way To Wear A Headset

In shock about the fact, that these champs got picked for the – as quoted – "8th month in a row", Caedrel seemed to lose his ability to speak like a human, and reduced his expressions to ape like noises and sounds. In an attempt to save what's left of his sanity, he ended up covering his eyes with his headset.. same Caedrel... same.

I mean, who wants to see a stale lane in which enchantment-supports hang around late game ADCs and do absolutely nothing? If I have the urge to see boring and sad things on my screen, I can go to Disney+ and watch the latest Star Wars trilogy.

Enchantment Supports Are Dominating The Meta

A short view of the current champion statistics is enough to understand the actual situation. Lulu and Zeri are within the top 10 most picked and banned champions in the LPL Summer 2023. Zeri amassed a pick & ban rate of 93.6 % and Lulu an 80.9 percentage.

The next support in the list is none other than Nautilus, but he's also been quite popular in the jungle, and even been played mid recently. The only true engage support that seems to have any presence in the meta is Rakan, who has a 57% presence in the first week of the LPL Summer Split.
