That some players might have a problem dealing with addiction to a certain game is nothing new in the gaming world. And the developers of the popular League of Legends auto-chess game, Teamfight Tactics, know this as well. So one of them recently announced a "forced bedtime feature" to prevent gamers from playing the game after 10pm.

LoL: Dev Announces "Forced Bed Time Feature" For TFT

A simple tweet by Riot employee "RiotMortdog", Lead Designer of Teamfight Tactics, was enough to send the TFT community into turmoil. According to him, the TFT dev team wants to make sure, that TFT is being enjoyed responsibly. And so he announced the planned addition of a so-called "forced bedtime feature" to the popular auto-chess game.

"Everybody should be in bed by 10 and get a minimum of 8 hours of sleep", Mortdog wrote in the tweet. And to enforce this, he announced that TFT will shut down between 9.45 pm and 7 am of the players local time.

Needless to say, that the reactions to this tweet are divided. Some players interpret the tweet as an obvious joke, but even the official "Teamfight Tactics-Polska" site asked, "JK Right??? RIGHT?". Mortdog answered the question with a simply "JK....Unless?". So there even might be a serious meaning behind this tweet.

At the moment there aren't any further information regarding this topic available, but we doubt that a feature like this will ever get implemented into the game. Even though, many community members reacted positively to the tweet in the comment section.

According to some, their win ratio would increase, by playing during "normal" times and not at 4 am in the morning. Of course, we will keep you up-to-date if any news or even rumors are surfacing in the future. As long as nothing official is announced, take this tweet as a joke.
