The return of Nexus Blitz is imminent, with a release window having been revealed by none other than Jeremy "Brightmoon" Lee. So get ready gamers, we're about to have some fun again!
League of Legends fans can get excited. Sure, the most recent attempt at creating hype for a brand-new exclusive skin failed, but at least now Riot is bringing some good news to the community, reassuring them that they will bring back one of the most hyped 'fun' experiences in the game.
In a recent dev blog, some changes from the Preseason 2024 were revealed, as well as a release date for the second run of the popular Arena game mode. Oh, and we got an update on Nexus Blitz as well.
LoL Nexus Blitz: Release Window Has Been Revealed
LoL Arena has been a well-received new game mode that lets players experience their favorite champions and champion fantasies in a fun new way. Another game mode that has been asked for though was none other than Nexus Blitz.
Now, that the game modes team has managed to successfully host the tournament of souls, it seems that they're ready to also host a round of Nexus Blitz.
In our own interview with Ben Skutt, Art Lead on the Soul Fighter event, we weren't able to get a direct answer of when Nexus Blitz was returning with him only saying that "Nexus Blitz is up for consideration" but he "can't confirm an expected timeframe"
Now, in the recent dev blog, Jeremy "Brightmoon" Lee revealed that Nexus Blitz would be coming back in October. The mode is going to hit the League of Legends client late October and should run for five weeks.
This could mean that Nexus Blitz is going to be the designated game mode for the 2023 League of Legends World Championship event. With the Asian Games taking place in September this year, the World Championship has been pushed back a few weeks.
So, who is ready to finally play some Nexus Blitz again? This time it seems like the game mode will actually go live, unlike previous empty promises, since Riot did state they would only announce a release date once they were certain Nexus Blitz was playable again.
Of course, some changes will be made to adjust to the changes that have taken place on Summoner's Rift since the last time Nexus Blitz was playable, but that is expected.
