After Cloud 9 has acquired Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme for the LCS 2024 Season, only the mid laner was left missing. Before the new twitter announcement there were lots of rumors saying that Joseph Joon “Jojopyun” Pyun would be the new mid laner since they had a verbal agreement, and it turns out those rumors were true.

Cloud9's Roster Is Complete

Jojopyun has had a long career on Evil Geniuses that led him to win the LCS in 2022. Now he joined C9 on what is in my opinion the best roster in the region.

He is known to be the best mid laner North America has to offer and can fit in a variety of team comps due to his talent and big champion pool.

Jojopyun has also confirmed the announcement with a short tweet.

The full Cloud9 roster for the next season will be:

Top Laner

Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami

Jungler

Robert "Blaber" Huang
Mid LanerJoseph Joon "Jojopyun" Pyun
Bot LanerKim "Berserker" Min-cheol
SupportPhilippe “Vulcan” Laflamme

This roster looks absolutely stacked for NA, and I wouldn't be surprised if it wins the region as a whole. The North American League looks as weak as never before as two franchise teams in Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians leave the LoL esports scene. The only real contender seems to be NRG, who have won the LCS Championship in 2023 and were the western team that stayed in Worlds 2023 the longest.

After winning the LCS 2023 Spring and Summer split with Zven and Emenes but only coming in second in the Championship, it didn't look too bad for the team domestically.

Internationally though, they have struggled this year as they were on the 6th and 12th place at MSI and at the Worlds Championship. That's not really unusual, especially for a North American roster since those tournaments are dominated by the east, but they are looking to shake that up with the new roster.
