Nexus Blitz is one of the most anticipated game modes in League of Legends and players have been asking for a return. Now it seems that a release has been revealed by Riot.
Nexus Blitz is coming back to League of Legends. That much has been made clear by Riot Games and the game modes team. This year we received a brand-new game mode as well and now it's time for Nexus Blitz to shine once more.
Until now we haven't known when exactly Nexus Blitz would return, but it seems that players won't have to wait much longer to be able to have fun on a completely different map... and it's just in time for Worlds 2023 as well!
LoL Nexus Blitz To Return In Patch 13.21
In 2022 fans were disappointed when the famous Spirit Blossom skin line made a return without the iconic Nexus Blitz game mode. The map of Nexus Blitz and the aesthetic of Spirit Blossom worked wonders together, so to have one return without the other felt lacklustre – even if we did get a League of Legends novel last year.
Thankfully, this year, we have been promised a return of Nexus Blitz and on October 4, 2023, Head of League Studio, Andrei "Meddler" van Roon revealed that Nexus Blitz should be added to the Public Beta Environment (PBE) in the coming week.
This means that the mode will be part of the PBE cycle of Patch 13.21 and it should be released with it. So, for anyone wanting to play this fun game mode, you'll have it on live servers with LoL Patch 13.21, which is going to release on October 25, 2023.
