State of Skins 2023: Riot Announces New Ultimate Skin
It's been quite a while since Riot has released a new Ultimate skin. The last one was actually K/DA All Out Seraphine in 2020. I would've guessed it was Gun Goddess Miss Fortune which was released in 2018. Maybe I forgot about Seraphine's skin because I'm not an e-girl... oh well, what can you do?

Enough waffling about! Back to present-day 2023. In the developer's update, Stephanie "100 pc nuggets" Leung, the skins team product lead, tells us more about the new Ultimate skin Riot is planning to release.
As part of the 2023 League of Legends Summer Event, Samira will receive an Ultimate skin!
Yes, you've heard right, the Desert Rose will join this elite group of champions. According to Leung, the initial goal was to create a Legendary skin for Samira, but during the creative process more and more unique assets were added to the skin. Therefore, the team decided to promote that skin into the elite Ultimate tier!
LoL Samira Ultimate Skin: Possible Skin Line
So far, this is all the official info we've been given. But what else do we know about the Samira Ultimate skin? Thankfully, there are a lot of curious and well-informed people within the League of Legends community. The Summer Event may be the biggest one in years, so leakers have been hard at work finding out as much as possible.

Curious about the Soul Fighter skin line? We've got you covered!
What makes us think that Samira's Ultimate skin might be called "Soul Fighter Samira"? Well, Samira is one of the two champions rumored to be part of the skin line, the other one being Pyke. According to these leaks, Samira is said to receive a "Legendary+" skin, which was pretty much confirmed by the Riot dev blog released on June 8.

LoL Skins in 2023: Upcoming Prestige Skins and Outlook on Mythic Shop
One thing many fans would love to see the return of is a list of upcoming Prestige Skins. This was a feature Riot introduced before the Mythic content overhaul, but up until now it hasn't been part of the new concept. The devs will now re-introduce the feature, so you know whether to spend your hard-earned Mythic Essence or to wait a few more weeks.
Let's check out the champions that will receive a Prestige skin in 2023, according to Riot:
- Pyke
- Shaco
- Sona
- Renata
- Akali
- Yone
- Camille
Some interesting candidates, right? I'm most curious to find out more about that Shaco Prestige skin. He has got a lot of stinkers in his skin collection, so every piece that might polish up his résumé is a success in my eyes.
