Ahead of the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational, Riot made quite a few changes to the meta, nerfing some of the most OP picks that dominated the major League of Legends regions throughout their playoffs. One champion has come out on top though and who continues to be the go-to pick for players even amidst nerfs.

Vi has managed a whopping 92% presence in Pick/Ban throughout the first half of MSI 2023, with one of the highest win rates amongst jungle champions. She is a great engage champion who can be paired with multiple popular mid lane picks, making her a key pick-up for any team.

LoL MSI 2023: One Jungle Champion Has Become Highest Prio Pick

The jungle role opens up the rift to players, with junglers dictating the flow of a game with their champions and their pathing. Throughout the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational Play-In Stage, one jungler has become the must-pick or must-ban champion of the tournament.

With Yuumi being disabled throughout the tournament, a new high prio pick has emerged and that is none other than Vi. She is a great engage champion and pairs perfectly with champions like Annie and Ahri who have both become very popular in the mid lane this year.

Due to her agency and how good she is on the rift, even after nerfs in LoL Patch 13.7, Vi has a 92% presence rate throughout the Play-In phase. According to gol.gg she's been banned a total of 15 times, with only Kennen receiving more bans in the first half of the tournament.

She did get picked 8 times, from which she won 5 games, earning a 62.5% win rate as well. The only two junglers with higher win rates are Nidalee and Maokai, both of which have a 75% win rate, but were only picked in four games).

The numbers don't lie and judging by the Play-In phase the meta that has grown, will feature aggressive skirmishing junglers like Vi and Viego. Teams want to fight and they want to gain controls, especially with how highly teams prioritize early dragons in Season 13. Which other junglers will dominate the game for the 2023 MSI bracket stage?

Need something to do while you wait for the Bracket Stage to finally start? How about you take some time to do a relaxing, and beautiful, puzzle with your favorite LoL champions on it?
