The last months really haven't been easy for Fnatic fans. After a bitter end at Worlds 2022 they replaced their entire bot lane with Rekkles and Rhuckz for the inaugural LEC Winter Split and well... that also didn't go as planned, so Fnatic has made some big changes ahead of the LEC Spring Split.
No one could have predicted what happened to Fnatic in the last few months. After a solid performance during the 2022 World Championship Play-In stage and a good first week of groups, Fnatic has only gone downhill from there.
The low point of it all? The LEC Winter Split 2023. Fnatic only managed two wins in nine games. They didn't even manage to jump into the next round of the new LEC format. Judging by such a finish, it was easy to predict that roster changes were upon them.
New Fnatic Roster: These Are The Player Changes
When an esports team doesn't meet expectations, you can be sure that there are going to be some major changes ahead. Sometimes it's just a coaching change, but often it means that players will also be replaced. Fnatic is doing both ahead of the Spring Split with a brand-new coach in Tomáš "Nightshare" Kněžínek, as well as some major player changes too.

Fnatic will be changing up two major pieces of the roster ahead of the 2023 LEC Spring Split, as they announced on their official Twitter account. In the top lane Óscar "Oscarinin" Muñoz Jiménez will be starting and Henk "Advienne" Reijenga will be the team's new support.
This means that Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen and Rúben "Rhuckz" Barbosa will be replaced in the coming split. Neither player had a great LEC Winter Split, but whether they were the problems will be seen when the action starts back up again on March 11, 2023.
Fnatic Roster Rebuild: What Does The Spring Split Look Like?
One of the most exciting questions is definitely whether Fnatic can regain their form in the next split. Of course, there are a few new faces on the team and in the org, but Rekkles, Humanoid and Razork are back in the coming split, so maybe that's going to be the key to success for the org – consistency, experience and fresh blood.
It is also important to note that former FNC bot laner Elias "Upset" Lipp will also be back in the LEC, finding a new home with Team Vitality. The matchup between Upset and his old team will also be quite exciting to see, and you can watch it live on Monday, March 13, 2023.
