League of Legends Patch 12.4 has brought huge changes to the meta. No more Janna top running between lanes and stealing jungle camps and Renata Glasc will make the world a little darker with her love for capitalism.

So, what will happen in the upcoming League of Legends patch? Will we get a champion rework, some more updates to the top lane meta? Well then, let’s make some predictions for Patch 12.5.

Renata Glasc Balance

We all know Riot likes to release champions that are a bit overpowered and broken. That’s mostly due to a lack of information that the developers get in the beginning. There are far fewer people playing on PBE, hence, why some stats could be skewed.

Therefore, we do believe that Renata Glasc might have her W looked at in the upcoming patch. We don’t know if the ability is broken yet, but in the next two weeks, Riot will be keeping a close eye on the chem-baroness and how she does on the rift. So we might see a nerf to her W if it’s a bit too overpowered. Three seconds is a long time – as long as a Morgana stun – and we all know that it can last a century.

Dr. Mundo Adjustments

Dr. Mundo has been a menace in the top lane for low elo players, so we do think that Riot is going to make some more adjustments skewed to the lower elos. The difficulty is that they also want him to feel like an unkillable juggernaut in the top lane.

Hopefully, Riot will be able to balance Dr. Mundo properly that he is a decent pick in lower elos while also having an impact in the top lane for those of you who want to play him in higher elos as well. This is a difficult task and will likely take some time, but we could be seeing the first changes as soon as Patch 12.5 already.

Hopefully Mundo will find his way in the coming patches and that he becomes the late game unkillable juggernaut we all want him to be. Mundo should go where he pleases without fearing death around every corner.

Skins To Be Released In Patch 12.5

Of course, as always, we’ve got to talk about the upcoming skins in Patch 12.5 as well. We already know that we will be getting more bee skins! There can never be too many bee skins in League of Legends. But which champions will get new skins?

Master Yi Adjustments

As it seems, Dr. Mundo is not the only one getting a little something in the next Patch. Riot Captain put out a Tweet yesterday, stating that Master Yi will finally get the updates that the community has been wanting for a while now. Let's go over all the changes.

Ability

Adjustment

Q (Alpha Strike)
  • Damage: 25/60/95/130/165 (+90 % AD), reduced by 75 % for subsequent hits on the same targets >>> 30/60/90/120/150 (+65 %AD), reduced by 75 % for subsequent hits on the same target
  • Crits deal: 60 % extra damage (+bonus critical damage percentage)>>> 50 % extra damage (bonus critical damage percentage)
  • Now applies on-hit effects (on-hits from subsequent hits are also reduced)
  • CD refund now scales down with ability haste (Synergy is gone)
E (Wuju Style)
  • Duration does not decrease during Meditate (W) >>> duration does not decrease during Alpha Strike (Q) or Meditate (W)
  • Can now cast during Alpha Strike (Q)
R (Highlander)
  • Duration does not decrease during Meditate (W) >>> duration does not decrease during Alpha Strike (Q) or Meditate (W)
  • Can now be casted during Alpha Strike (Q)

Especially those Q nerfs will come in handy for the tilting SoloQueue experiences in which players are not able to target Master Yi for what feels like days. Boom, pentakill, no counterplay. That will hopefully change with these adjustments, bringing Master Yi back to being the on-hit monster he once was.

Elise Getting A Visual Update In LoL Patch 12.5

Riot Games are really getting ahead of themselves with those visual updates. Fire in the hole, not only for Vayne or Vel'Koz but also Elise, apparently. That is a piece of work, as Elise is one of the shapeshifting champions in League of Legends. Twice the fun, heh?

Elise was released some ten years ago, so Riot choosing to visually update her abilities seems like kind of an overdue decision. Riot will visually overhaul her kit, including Cocoon, Rappel, Neurotoxin and Volatile Spiderling. Especially her E (Cocoon) will have a much clearer hitbox by LoL Patch 12.5 and will be more colorful than before.

Not only her abilities, but also most of her skins are getting visually updated. These are the included skins:

  • Super Galaxy Elise (minor tweaks)
  • SKT T1 Elise
  • Blood Moon Elise
  • Victorious Elise
  • Death Blossom Elise
  • Base skin

With her base skin being part of the update as well, the auto-attacks are also made more colorful and easier to spot. I don't know about you, but I had trouble playing against Elise in the past, because some of her abilities were not that easy to spot. Her kit really needs those updates.

When Is LoL Patch 12.5 Releasing?

League of Legends Patch 12.5 will be coming to a computer near you on March 2, 2022. Yes, you heard that right, a whole new patch in two weeks! Okay, it's nothing new and exciting, but we just want to let you know!

So, while we might not know much about the upcoming Legaue of Legends patch, we do think that there are going to be some exciting changes that will hit the rift quite soon. Hey, maybe a Quinn rework or an Orianna visual update?
