Riot is looking to make some key changes in this LoL Patch to two support mages. Will they be viable junglers after the LoL Patch 13.21 changes?
In LoL Patch 13.21, Riot is making quite a few changes to some fan-favorite champions. Two of the most notable adjustments come to Zyra and Brand who are two of the oldest mage supports in the game, only Riot isn't giving them support buffs, instead the balance team wants to test them out more in another role.
Jungle Brand and jungle Zyra are things that are playable, but they don't stand out at all with multiple champions much better in the role. Now, Riot is trying to give them some more variety with key jungle buffs.

The LoL balance team has decided to give Brand a test in the jungle. He was already somewhat decent in the role, but Riot Phreak revealed that the team decided to see whether they can make him more viable and therefore added some low scope and low investment changes to see how he would fare in the role.
Riot have increased his attack speed and attack speed growth, as well as adding higher damage over time multipliers against monsters to his passive.
Brand isn't the only support to make it to the jungle in LoL Patch 13.21. Following in the footsteps of Morgana is none other than Zyra, who received quite a few buffs to make her a better jungler.
Make good on the Zyra jungle buffs from earlier this year. The real hopeful upside is shifting her ability rank and gold scaling to make Mid and Jungle better for her, while keeping Support at a relatively equal power level.
So, according to Phreak, the changes Riot have added in this patch are more towards how she scales with gold, rather than with her levels, so that they can easily adjust her for specific roles, rather than overall. So, the proposed changes shouldn't have too much of an effect on her in the support role.
Zyra had her Base stats buffed with higher attack speed and her plants also dealing more damage. The AAP Ratios on her Q and E were also buffed, while the base damage on Q got increased and nerved on E.
These are two pretty immobile champions and can easily get destroyed by an enemy Rengar or Kha'Zix, so it'll be interesting to see whether their jungle play time is going to increase in the next patch or whether Riot added these changes for nothing.
