Seraphine has become one of the best solo queue bot laners throughout the last year or so, always hovering around a 53% win rate in the role. Now Riot is taking drastic measures to try and keep her from the APC role.
Seraphine is getting some major adjustments in LoL Patch 13.21, with the balance team tackling her base stats, as well as her Q, W and E abilities. All this is being done to try and keep her out of the bot lane and bring her back to the mid lane or keep her as a support.
In Patch 13.20 it was K'Sante, and now it seems that Riot has set its eyes on Seraphine for their next patch update. Let's check out the exact changes to her kit and how they could affect her in the coming meta.

Seraphine Mains Unhappy With Proposed Changes
Seraphine was designed as a hyperscaling mid laner who could also be played as a support. She thrives when she has support and teammates to help set her up, and she is a great late game teamfighting pick. This has made her a pretty great pick in the bot lane as an APC and her win rate has shown it.
Now, Riot is cutting her scaling out and while it seems like she does gain per-rank scaling with the proposed changes, which could mean that the more experience she has the stronger she will be, which could incentivize some players to play her mid instead of as an APC, where AP ratios are more important.
But the Seraphine Mains Subreddit and other players are pretty unhappy with the role, feeling like Riot is forcing support Seraphine on players, and taking away variety from the bot lane. They feel that the bot lane role is being pigeonholed into only marksmen.
Overall these are pretty hefty changes which can be played and tested on the Public Beta Environment. Then you can decide whether mit lane and bot lane Seraphine is dead.
