Riot Forge announced two games for 2022 – Song of Nunu and Convergence, but the publisher has released a statement that the two games will be delayed until 2023 instead.
Riot has been doing more than just balancing League of Legends and adding in a whole bunch of jungle changes for the 2023 preseason. No, they also have a publishing company called Riot Forge which releases unique games set in Runeterra alongside other developers.
In 2021 Riot released Ruination: A League of Legends Story, while also announcing the games 'Song of Nunu' and 'Convergence' which were both supposed to release in 2022. Now they've both been delayed until further notice. Let's check out why this could have happened.
Riot Forge Games Have Been Delayed Until 2023
Riot Forge released a statement on October 24, 2022 announcing that while fans have been patient until now, they'll have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the new titles Convergence and Song of Nunu.
While we're so excited about the progress of both games, we're going to need a little more time to put on some finishing touches. Right now both games are scheduled to release sometime in 2023 and we'll be sure to provide more updates as soon as we're ready.
If you went onto the official Steam page of Song of Nunu or Convergence, then the release date had been set to 2022. Now though we're going to have to keep playing League of Legends or Legends of Runeterra to get our fix. Maybe just re-watch Arcane?

Next Gen-Version of Ruined King: A League of Legends Story Coming Soon
In the same statement Riot Forge also explained that in 2023 we should also be getting an upgraded version of the turn-based adventure game Ruined King which had been developed by Airship Syndicate and was released in late 2021.
According to Riot Forge the next gen version of this game will be ready in 2023 and any players who have the game for PS4 or the Xbox One can upgrade their copy free of charge if they want to.
Giving the developers more time to work on the games is probably a good thing. Rushing a game is never the answer and many fans have reacted positively to the news of the game being pushed back. Until then, we will continue to watch the League of Legends World Championship with the first semi-finals kicking off on October 29, 2022.
