At the start of LoL Season 13, players gathered to watch the hype trailer for the new ranked season and were disappointed. Well, the same shouldn't happen for Season 14.
At the start of ranked seasons Riot usually releases a hype trailer which gets fans excited about the start of a new League of Legends season. In Season 13 this was not the case, with fans watching a tour of Summoner's Rift in HD.
This had some fans worried about the future of League of Legends, many believing that Riot was putting more time and effort into their other titles like VALORANT or Wild Rift. So, should players be anxious about Season 14?
LoL Season 14: Cinematic Will Be Coming In January
Now January is still a ways off, but some fans are already thinking of the new season, especially if their first ranked split of 2023 didn't go as planned. But will we be getting a cinematic to kick off 2024 and the new League of Legends ranked season, or is it going to be a disaster like in 2023?
According to multiple sources at Riot, 2023 was supposed to also feature a trailer and cinematic like years before, but due to time constraints they didn't manage to finish the cinematic.
Many players had predicted that Aatrox would play a part, due to there being Aatrox wards in the shop. It had even been confirmed that Aatrox was going to play a role in the new cinematic for LoL Season 13.
The Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse is amazing for some League of Legends!
Well, now it's also been confirmed that players can look forward to a real cinematic in LoL Season 14. Riot Meddler recently answered a question on Reddit in which he replied that, "there will be a season start cinematic next year, in January".
So, for anyone who had been worried that there won't be a cinematic, then it seems like the season start for LoL Season 14 should be much smoother. Riot should have, hopefully, learned from their mistakes in 2023.
