Riot Forge was awfully quiet throughout all of 2022 and now, at the start of 2023 bombard fans with a multitude of announcements. Are we mad though? Not at all. New games are great and if they expand on the lore of Runeterra, then it's even better.

The upcoming 2D pixel action RPG promises to do just that and we can get our hands on it sooner than we might even expect!

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story Offical Trailer

Riot Forge just revealed the official trailer for the upcoming game by Digital Sun. While the big Digital Sun hit was a Rogue-like, many thought this would also be a Rogue-like game, but it has since been revealed to be a 2D pixel action RPG, which works much better for story telling.

Riot Forge and Digital Sun will take us up north to Demacia where we play as Sylas and escape the Mageseekers and the prisons of Demacia as a mage. This is going to be a very interesting story and one that hopefully takes us further than the 2020 Season cinematic 'Warriors'.

Riot Forge describes the game as:

In this indie 2D pixel action RPG set in the League of Legends universe, play as Sylas, a spell-stealing mage now freed from his captivity at the hands of the oppressive Mageseekers. Wield the chains that once bound you and bring Demacia to its reckoning.
