Among Us — AMONG US: It’s been around since 2018, but only exploded in 2020! After a streamer brought it into the limelight, the multiplayer game got a ton of players and became a huge gaming trend in 2020. It may have also been helped by the fact that a lot of people were in lockdown, and they wanted to play with their friends, but Among Us is also a really fun and great game despite of this. Cyberpunk 2077 cdpr — CYBERPUNK 2077: What did we spend more time doing? Playing Cyberpunk? Or, perhaps amusing ourselves with the many memes circulating its disastrous launch? Or, maybe restarting the game over and over again? Well, joking aside, it’s no longer a secret that the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was anything but successful. GTA V — GRAND THEFT AUTO V: Grand Theft Auto V is one of the perennial favorites among the most played of 2020 – after all, the open-world game has been on the market since 2013! Even all these years later, Rockstar’s monolith is still much-loved, much-played, and much-bought. Perhaps we will see a successor somewhere on the horizon, if the leaks are to be believed. Life is Strange 2 — LIFE IS STRANGE 2: It might be a bit of a surprise to see Life is Strange 2 on this list. But not for anyone who has played the wonderful game! Released in September of 2019, it doesn’t seem like a game you can play over and over again. Monster Hunter World — MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD: Fighting giant monsters in a fascinating world – sounds great, right? Well yes, for many of us, our dreams came true with Monster Hunter: World! The game impresses with a beautiful setting and exciting action. For fans of the franchise, two new spinoffs from Capcom await in 2021 with Monster Hunter: Rise and the spinoff Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin! (Credit: Capcom)

PUBG — PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS: First PC, then Xbox One, and then PlayStation 4. In 2020, PUBG also landed on Google Stadia – and on our list of most played games! Terraria — TERRARIA: In April 2020, it was announced that the game had reached 30 million copies sold. No wonder why it is one of the most played games in 2020! Terraria is reminiscent of Minecraft, but in 2D – and for many players, it is even better. We absolutely love shaping the open world and defeating crazy and cool monsters. (Credit: Re-Logic)
