MrBeast is a well-known YouTuber and very successful with his videos. But who would have expected that his videos cost more than a Game of Thrones episode?
James Donaldson, AKA MrBeast — who doesn't know him? He is one of the most successful YouTubers worldwide and generates millions of views with each of his videos. On his main channel, he showcases the craziest things. From curing blindness to sending a train down a giant pit, there's nothing too extravagant for him.
Therefore, it can already be assumed that the videos are somewhat more expensive, but how much do these videos actually cost? James recently revealed how crazy his budgets have become nowadays.
The Cost Behind MrBeast's Videos
The costs heavily depend on the complexity of the video, including factors such as the location, the number of participants, the equipment, and much more. A few years ago, the costs per video were around $200,000. This is already quite high compared to your average YouTuber's video. However, the costs for his current videos have increased significantly.
Nevertheless, the fact that the costs for his videos range between 2 and 5 million US dollars is probably unexpected by many. Jimmy recently revealed this mind-blowing number on the Colin and Samir show:

This amount is comparable to the production costs of individual episodes of well-known streaming- and TV-series. Take Game of Thrones for instance, where each episode up to the fifth season incurred similar expenses. Likewise, Breaking Bad also cost $3 million for each episode.
This means that MrBeast's current videos have already matched the costs of professionally produced series. Who knows if MrBeast has something even bigger planned for the future. Perhaps his videos will eventually cost as much as individual episodes of the 4th season of Stranger Things, which amounted to a mouth-watering $30 million per episode.
