Fortnite introduces Chewbacca's Wookiee Bowcaster with Update V.29.40!
The furry Wookiee arrives in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 for the first time, bringing us his unique crossbow, the Wookiee Bowcaster. We'll show you where to find it and what the new weapon can do.
Fortnite Wookiee Bowcaster Stats
At first sight, the Bowcaster is a type of crossbow, which has never been particularly powerful in Fortnite. However, the Wookiee Bowcaster has two different firing modes. You can either fire normal shots one after another or charge up a powerful shot for a stronger, explosive impact.
Here are the weapon's stats:

This weapon is only available in mythic rarity. A special feature of the weapon: You always have infinite ammunition and do not need to search for ammo boxes!

Where to find the Wookiee Bowcaster in Fortnite
The Wookiee Bowcaster is part of the regular loot pool and will be found across the map on the floor and in chests. You can also find it at the new imperial roadblocks. There, you can either obtain it from imperial chests with a chance of 65 percent or by rescuing Chewbacca. You'll need to take down the stormtroopers at the roadblock and free Chewie, who will then reward you with one of his Wookiee Bowcasters.
There are currently no other known ways to get the new weapon. So in the early days of the new Star Wars update, many players may try to rescue Chewie at the same time.
