Electronic Arts (EA) has assembled its largest team ever to work on the upcoming Battlefield game, aiming to create something special. EA's CEO, Andrew Wilson, shared his excitement during a recent earnings call, stating, "This is the largest Battlefield team in franchise history. I couldn’t be more excited about what they showed us."

Fan Reaction: Concerns About Future Battlefield Direction

The new game, developed by Motive studio known for "Star Wars: Squadrons" is set to be released around 2026. Despite the buildup, not everyone is pleased. After Geoff Keighley, host of The Game Awards, tweeted about the game's progress, describing it as a "tremendous live service," some fans took to Reddit to express their disappointment, fearing the game might stray from its roots as a quality, team-based shooter.

A "tremendous live service" in gaming refers to a game that continuously updates and evolves with new content, features, and player support over time. (like GTA 5, Fortnite, CoD and so on)

Fans voiced their concerns online, with comments like, "Do they want to turn Battlefield into ****? It used to be a great team-based shooter," and "The last real Battlefield was BF3."As EA moves forward with the new Battlefield, they face the challenge of meeting new expectations while preserving what fans have loved about the series.
