Bethesda is currently hard at work with Elder Scrolls 6 in the pipeline, as well as continuous work on Starfield. But with the popularity of the Amazon Prime television series, Fallout, it seems like we could be expecting some news on Fallout 5 in the near future as well.

It seems that work on the game has been tinkling along slowly, with show runners even receiving some inside scoops of where the story is heading, but now some rumors have come to light, which could hint at Fallout 5 development getting sped up.

Fallout 5 Development Increasing According To Rumors

Of course, the current information is just based off rumors, but according to the Xbox Two podcast, Microsoft wants to speed up the development process of Fallout 5. Fallout has seen a huge surge in popularity thanks to the show and, obviously, Microsoft wants to capitalize on this.

So, while it is highly likely that Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be released before Fallout 5, fans can get excited about another Fallout game to be released right after.

They're currently formulating plans on how to get the next Fallout, here for us, sooner rather than later. That's what they're talking about, from what I understand.

It is unclear how Bethesda is going to make it happen so quickly, but some people believe that including Obsidian, who created Fallout: New Vegas, would be a good idea. The devs know the franchise and could create an intermediate game before Bethesda can tackle the mainline Fallout 5 without delaying any of their other planned games.

Currently, all fans can do is speculate, but it seems that Microsoft and Bethesda have some options to bring new and fresh adventures to the world of Fallout for fans... something they want to do thanks to the increasing popularity.
