Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Honored In NBA 2K24 With Best Card Ever
Until recently, Abdul-Jabbar was the NBA's all-time leading scorer with 38,387 points. This record lasted from his last game on April 22, 1989, until February 7, 2023, when LeBron James overtook Abdul-Jabbars points total. Being the all-time best scorer for 24 years definitely merits a special honor.
2K is giving Abdul-Jabbar this honor by breaking its own rules and giving him this incredible card. In a statement, the company honors the legend of the game:

There is no card this version of Kareem can’t defend, and likely very few that can stop him on offense, just like in the real NBA.”
The NBA All-Star Weekend is happening from Friday, February 16, 2024 through Sunday, February 18, 2024. Next to the Abdul-Jabbar card, 2K’s basketball simulation will also introduce 26 new cards to honor the players participating in the All-Star match.
