Palworld developer Pocket Pair revealed a roadmap for the game’s Early Access period, showing what players can look forward to in the coming months and years.
Palworld shook the whole gaming world to its core by becoming an unprecedented mega success. Despite a huge controversy surrounding Palworld, it ended up selling over seven million copies and becoming one of the most-played games of all time on Steam, just a few days after release.
Developer Pocket Pair is striking while the iron is hot, revealing the game’s Early Access roadmap and showing players, what they can look forward to.
Palworld Roadmap: Fixes, PvP, Crossplay And So Much More
The Palworld roadmap promises a lot. Like, a lot a lot. The biggest priority lies in fixing critical issues, which includes “numerous bugs” and issues like world rollbacks and freezes. Pocket Pair is set to fix first, before implementing anything else. Other improvements that are set to appear in the game “ASAP” concern Key configuration and the Pals’ AI and pathing.
Beyond technical improvements and bug fixes, Palworld is also set to receive more content during its Early Access period, which doesn’t have a set time frame yet. Here is everything planned for the future of the game:
- PvP
- Raid Bosses (End-Game Content)
- Pal Arena (PvP for Pals)
- Steam-Xbox Crossplay
- Various Xbox Feature Improvements
- Server Transfers and Migrations
- Improvements to the Building System
- New islands, Pals, Bosses, and Technologies
This is a pretty ambitious set of new features. Pocket Pair has not revealed a concrete timeframe for when fans can expect these changes, nor for how long the game will remain in Early Access. The roadmap also doesn’t mention Pal trading, which was part of a previous announcement. It’s not clear whether that feature has been scrapped or was just forgotten on the roadmap graphic.
