Nintendo will finally be releasing a 'next-gen' console, and it looks like we will see the Switch 2 in the next months.
The Nintendo Switch became famous for two reasons: It was a handheld and it had a lot of exclusive Nintendo games, which weren't available on any other platform. While Microsoft and Sony fought between them for their customers, Nintendo conquered a niche and had no competition. Still, the Switch was a great console in many ways and kept gamers around the world busy for many hours. And this beloved console will get a successor in the foreseeable future.
Nintendo Switch 2 Announcement Revealed On Twitter
Shuntaro Furukawa, the President of Nintendo, announced on Twitter that the Switch 2 will be revealed during the current fiscal year of Nintendo. The fiscal year at Nintendo ends in March, so we don't have to wait a whole year, just up to 10 months! Even though the Nintendo Switch remains an excellent console after seven remarkable years, this news is fantastic for all Nintendo fans!

Nintendo Switch Is Getting New Games
Furukawa didn't stop there. He also mentioned that the next Nintendo Direct will be held in June 2024. There, we will see 'the Nintendo Switch software lineup for the latter half of 2024,' which means we can expect new games and significant updates to existing ones.
