It's a known fact that Starfield is going to be getting a DLC add-on. When the game was initially released in September 2023 it had been revealed that the DLC "Shattered Space" is in the works, but fans didn't know when the content would be added.

Well, a recent hint at an upcoming DLC has popped up on Steam for players, so maybe the wait for more Starfield content won't be too long. Will this DLC be able to bring the game back from the low player numbers, though?

Players are patiently waiting for the Starfield DLC. Just like those who have wanted Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree for so long, they're looking for any sign that the DLC is coming soon, and now one small hint popped up on Steam.

According to the DLC section on SteamDB, an "unknown app" has just been added to Starfield's downloadable contents. This means that there is some work going on behind-the-scenes to prepare the client for the DLC.

This is a sign that Bethesda should be getting ready to unveil the DLC and the new content pretty soon. Elden Ring had a similar update just a few weeks before Shadow of the Erdtree was revealed. Of course, it's also important to note that this is just speculation thus far and therefore nothing concrete can be surmised from this just yet.

It is important to note that the latest update ahead of this unknown app was the Starfield Preorder from 5-months ago, so this is a pretty good sign that Bethesda is cooking up something behind the scenes. So let's just wait and hopefully find out more about the DLC soon.
