Empyrean is back in League of Legends for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational. Let's go over the in-client event and what you can expect from it.
MSI 2024 is just around the corner, with multiple new skins, as well as a brand-new event. For this year, Riot is going to be bringing back the Empyrean skin line that they introduced back in 2022 for Worlds.
So, let's go over the MSI 2024 event and what you need to know going into it. Will you be getting one of the Battle Passes or are you just going to settle for the free rewards?
League of Legends MSI Event: Event Pass And Bundles
First of all, we have to look at the event pass and bundles that will be made available. Players can also choose not to pick them up and simply receive the free rewards along the event track, but if you're looking to get your hands on the prestige Kayle skin, then you'll have to fork over some money.
Event Pass | Cost | Includes |
MSI 2024 Event Pass | 1620 RP |
|
MSI 2024 Pass Bundle | 2650 RP |
|
MSI 2024 Premium Pass Bundle | 3650 RP |
|
Riot usually puts on the same events, so while they haven't officially revealed the battle pass or bundle yet, we can be pretty certain it's going to be the same as with previous events.
MSI 2024: Arena Returns
For this event, Riot is also going to be re-introducing Arena to the game. This time around, the mode is going to look and feel a bit different, with Riot making sure to keep it fresh and exciting. Instead, of just 4 teams of 2, we're now going to be able to play with 16 players.
New Arenas have also been added, and some new mechanics are also coming to the game. The best part? Riot is going to have Arena last throughout the entire second ranked split. This is the first test to see whether Arena can become a permanent game mode.
League of Legends MSI 2024 Event Start Date
The event is going to kick off with LoL Patch 14.9 on May 1. This is just a few days ahead of the first match of the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational in Chengdu, China. So, save up your RP, if you want to get some fancy rewards.
