Some champions are hated more than others. But there's one champ that sends everyone to sleep, and it's none other than Zeri (even pro players are sick of her).
Some champions are more fun than others. Not only to play, but also to watch. One champion that has received a lot of in recent years is none other than Zeri who was turbo broken throughout 2022 and barely playable for a large part of 2023.
She is a safe pick now though, and even though she might not be in the best spot, players still pick her when they're in a bind. Well, it seems that even pro players hate to see her and T1's support Ryu "Keria" Min-Seok recently explained why.
League of Legends: Even Pro Players Don't Want To See Zeri In The Meta
In League of Legends Patch 14.3 Zeri received some slight buffs. Her base AD was increased from 53 to 56 and the cooldown on her ultimate was lowered from 100/85/70 to 80/75/70. So, what does this mean? Players are going to be testing the champion once more in the bot lane.
After her dominance in previous years, though, viewers are sick and tired of this ultra safe bot lane pick. While she might not have the longest range, she is very safe thanks to her mobility which means that she can always be picked when a team is in a bind.
#Keria: "The fact that Zeri is slowly appearing means that LoL is becoming less fun. Because when something like Zeri appears, the support champions are limited. If Zeri comes out, she becomes the main character out of all other champions. https://t.co/9Kt31r54HZ

T1's support player Keria recently on stream talked about Zeri and how she affects the state of the game. He explained that the game is going to be less fun, as translated by Twitter/X user aegis_t1. Keria stated that there are fewer choices for support players, which will impact the game.
Zeri is the "main character" as Keria put it, and therefore the team draft will center around this one champion. This means that players will have to pick champions that will let Zeri be the center. This means teams have to draft against Zeri to stop her from popping off, or will have to pick champions that will elevate her gameplay.
We all remember the dreaded Zeri Yuumi meta that plagued Worlds 2022, right?
