There are multiple Star Wars projects in production currently, but one of the more exciting ones is definitely The Acolyte. This series will take place 50 years before the event of The Phantom Menace and will also follow parts of the High Republic saga as well.

Star Wars fans get ready, because this year the live action show, The Acolyte, is going to be releasing. The show officially premieres on June 4, 2024 on Diesney+.

The Acolyte will follow the story of a former Jedi Padawan and her one-time master. The story will not be putting the Jedi on a pedestal, instead address the fallibility of the institution, which is an interesting and fresh approach to the world Star Wars has built.

The cast for the series is also one that viewers can get excited about. Squid Game star Lee Jung-Jae will be a Jedi Master. He will be joined by the likes of Amandla Stenberg and Mannu Jacinto, as well as Jodie Turner-Smith.

Fan favorite characters from The High Republic are also going to be making an appearance, notably Vernestra Rwoh, which should have viewers pretty excited for this series. Now we just have to wait until June 4 to finally get to see what Disney and Lucasfilm have been cooking up together.
