When is Rocket League Coming to Mobile?
Rocket League is already on Mobile, in the form of Rocket League: Sideswipe, which is about to enter Season 2. Sideswipe is a 2D version of the classic soccer game, and was released in its beta form, to very little fanfare, earlier this year. It's a 1v1 version of Rocket League, with two players battling it out to get their respective balls in the opponent's goal. The rules are pretty much the same, but everything has been condensed onto a 2D playing field.
Is Rocket League Sideswipe Already Available?
Yes, Rocket League Sideswipe is currently available on Mobile. It's 2D competitive gameplay is ideal for short rounds on public transport (assuming you have a decent mobile data plan and connection) and waiting at the bus stop. It's a gorgeous game as well, and runs well on all sorts of different phones, though you would probably want to make sure that your phone is up to snuff before jumping in.
Is Rocket League Sideswipe Available on IOS?
Rocket League Sideswipe is available on iOS. It's actually quite curious that it even released on Apple and Android phones, considering the ongoing lawsuit between Epic Games, Apple, and Google. The lawsuit resulted in the removal of Fortnite from the Apple Store, and later the Google Play Store. It was a pretty drastic move, and has seen many questions whether Rocket League will ever come to Mobile. Those same players had their prayers answered earlier this year, when Rocket League Sideswipe was announced and a beta was released.
Is Rocket League Sideswipe Available on Android?
Rocket League Sideswipe is on Android, despite the ongoing dispute between Epic Games and Google. Similarly to the ongoing kerfuffle with Apple, Epic Games had a falling out with Google, with Fortnite temporarily being removed from the Google Play Store. It is yet to be announced when that game will come back to both iOS and Android, but Rocket League Sideswipe remains firmly on both platforms.
How to Get and Install Rocket League Sideswipe
You can get Rocket League Sideswipe on most modern Smartphones, and the game is available both on the Apple Store and the Google Play Store. To download it, you need to first make sure that you have enough storage space left on your phone, and that you are connected to a WiFi network so that you don't drain that precious data. You need to navigate to your respective store, make sure that you are logged into your respective account, and hit download. Your phone should automatically download, install, and do all the rest for you!
Honestly, it has been a pretty quiet release and people are not really talking about it all that much, but Rocket League Sideswipe is actually pretty solid. Now that you've heard a little bit more about the game, we hope that we have inspired you to download it onto your phone and play a few rounds. It's decently fun, and looks great for a mobile game. Check it out if you want, and don't forget to take a look of some of that great Pre-Season content.
