Gravity Falls has been a big hit for Disney, loved by fans and critics all over the world. Even though the show ended with season two in 2016, we might see more of Dipper and his friends.In the show, siblings Dipper and Mabel stay with their Great Uncle Stan in a town called Gravity Falls. They soon find out the town is full of supernatural mysteries. With a journal they discover in the woods, they start solving these mysteries, leading to lots of exciting adventures.
But what happens after season 2? Will there ever be a Gravity Falls season 3?
Gravity Falls Season 3: The Adventure Might Continue Through Specials
The end of the second season of Gravity Falls aired all the way back in 2016 and since then, news about Gravity Falls season 3 have been scarce.
With how well the show was received, you would expect it to continue for a couple more seasons, until interest drops as the plot becomes worse and worse, and it ultimately gets canceled. At least that's what we have wished for.
Well, not on Alex Hirsch's watch, as the producer didn't want this to happen to the show and pretty muchalways planned to wrap things up early.
This is the point where I will have to break it to you, there won't be a third season for Gravity Falls! That doesn't mean that there won't be more stories, though, as Alex Hirsch has agreed to produce extra specials and shorts for the series.
With things having wrapped up perfectly with season 2, this is probably for the best.
Alex Hirsch Announces New Bill Cipher Book For “Older Readers”
The most recent example that proves the Gravity Falls franchise is not yet finished is an announcement by Alex Hirsch, in which he announced the release of a Bill Cipher book in July 2024, which can be pre-ordered already.

The book will apparently shed some light on the demonic entity's origins, as well as his sinister effects on human history.
The Book of Bill apparently only "travels to dimensions meant for older readers" and will tell Bill Cipher's story from his very own perspective, which is sure to be twisted. So better not buy the book for your kids and instead buy it for yourself .
