As long as we're waiting, let's take a look at what's to come:
True Detective Season 4 | Another Whole New Cast
In true True Detective fashion, we'll get a new thrilling case to crack with a new awesome ensemble cast. You've seen her, we all love her: amazing Jodie Foster takes up her new role as Liz Danvers, joined by Kali Reis as Evangeline Navarro as her partner in crime... solving.
The cast gets completed not only by
other officers Hank Prior (John Hawkes), his son and Danvers' apprentice Peter (Finn Bennett) and Ted Corsaro (Christopher Eccleston), but also in supporting roles Leah (Isabella Star LaBlanc) – Danvers' stepdaughter – and survivalist Rose (Fiona Shaw), as well as the young nurse Kayla Malee (Anna Lambe).
There are some changes behind the scenes as well. Creator Nic Pizzolatto will take a step back as True Detective writer and showrunner, leaving the challenge to Issa López and serving as an executive producer this time.
With a cast consisting of Hollywood legends and fairly fresh faces, season 4 of True Detective promises a thrilling new case. But what's the crime that needs solving, exactly?
True Detective Season 4 | Plot Premise
Remember back in the first season when there were some supernatural undercurrents? Season 4 might pick them up again.
Danvers and Navarro have a mysterious case to solve: eight men disappeared without a trace in Alaska, and it's up to the duo to find out what happened. Shivers down some spines guaranteed, but are they because of the cold or because of the mysterious disappearances?
Also, True Crime is infamous for the dark pasts of its characters that just wait to be explored. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see which skeletons Jodie Foster hides in her closet.
We'll soon know all about those, for sure, beginning to unravel the mystery on January 14, 2024.
