Breach is one this one Agent you never want behind your wall. His abilities are super hard to interact with, and they are mostly focused on Crowd Control, making him a pretty important addition in some team comps, especially on maps like Fracture. Moreover, it can also be a great picks for Initiator players that like to play a bit more aggressively. So, let's see how this Swedish Agent works and what can you do to use his abilities in a more productive way that can lead to a lot of ranked wins.

Valorant Breach Abilities

Aftershock

Official Ability Description: EQUIP a fusion charge. FIRE the charge to set a slow-acting burst through the wall. The burst does heavy damage to anyone caught in its area.

Default KeyC
Cost200 Credits

Charges

1
Maximum Damage180 (60 per tick)

Starting with Aftershock, this ability allows you to fire a damage beam that will go through the wall and heavily damage any enemies that you'll catch with it. It works great as a tool against camping players, or when you want to clear a specific angle and help your Duelist teammate find a kill.

Flashpoint

Official Ability Description: EQUIP a blinding charge. FIRE the charge to set fast-acting burst through the wall. The charge detonates to blind all players looking at it.

Default KeyQ
Cost250 Credits
Charges2
Flash Duration2 seconds max

Flashpoint is a flashbang ability that goes through walls and other obstacles and flashes everyone facing it for 2 seconds, which is pretty long. With that in mind, you should consider buying 2 charges of it if you feel like you can set up a good flashbang, as it can win a game on the spot. However, setting it up will require a bit of help from your teammates, especially Controllers.

Fault Line (Signature Ability)

Official Ability Description: EQUIP a seismic blast. HOLD FIRE to increase the distance. RELEASE to set off the quake, dazing all players in its zone and in a line up to the zone.

Default KeyE
CostFree
Charges1
Reach8 meters
Concussion Duration3.5 seconds

Next up, we have Breach's Signature Ability, which means that you can access it without spending any Credits with 1 charge per round. When you fire it, Fault Line releases a straight line in which, if there are any enemies in it, it concusses all of them for 3.5 seconds. Once again, you will have to work with your teammates to set it up properly, and while we're speaking of teammates, it's also worth noting that they can get also concussed if they find themselves in the line that you fire.

Rolling Thunder (Ultimate Ability)

Official Ability Description: EQUIP a seismic charge. FIRE to send a cascading quake through all terrain in a large line. The quake dazes and knocks up anyone caught in it.

Default KeyX
Cost7 Ult Point
Concussion Duration6 seconds

Rolling Thunder is pretty much a buffed version of Fault Lines, but it is much easier to set up and covers more ground. The concussion is 6 seconds, which could basically mean a couple of free frags, because that is actually a lot of time. Plus, the ability knocks back your enemies 7 meters, which forces them out of angles. With all that said, no wonder some people consider it to be the best ultimate ability in Valorant.

How To Play Breach?

You Must Rely on Your Team (and there's no way around it)

Yeah, we know that it is obvious to many of you, but we'll still point it out - there is no option to use your ability kit effectively without the help of your team. Sure, sometimes you will succeed, but most of the time you want someone to help you set it all up because when Breach's ability kit works, it really works.

However, without some good help from the team, Breach is easily one of the worst Agents you can pick, which makes him a pretty risky Initiator to climb ranks with. That said, if you want to learn how to improve your team communication, we have something for you: How To Give Better Callouts in Valorant

Combine Your Abilities Often

Your abilities work best when you combine them, especially since one can help set up the other. For example, you can use your Flashpoint to set up one of your concussions, and you can also do it the other way – depending on what effect you currently need!

Of course, the more combinations, the better, so you should also consider working with other Agents, such as Raze, which is great to pair with Breach in team composition. Interestingly, Breach and Raze were also close in lore with each other and even organized all sorts of street crimes. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Be Active Where It's Getting Hot

Breach performs best in tense situations, especially cases where one team is outnumbered. On the attacking side, it can help rush a team's Spike Site by clearing angles with just a couple of clicks. However, on the defending side, he works excellently in slowing down rushes and giving time for the team to rotate. That said, if you hear that somewhere is "getting hot", you want to be there with your ability kit as soon as possible.
