The Valorant Champions Tour's next stop is Copenhagen for the Masters and then Istanbul for the end-of-year event.
Riot Games has announced the next two host cities for the Valorant Champions Tour with Copenhagen set to host the final Masters, while Istanbul will host the end-of-year final which will crown the Valorant World Champion.
Explaining their reasoning for the host cities, Riot explained that they hope to open up the tournaments to live audiences, which have previously been impossible due to COVID prevention measures.
Our goal is to see our biggest international events played in front of a live audience and both of these cities provided clear pathways towards this goal, while also providing the best possible guarantee that all qualified teams will be able to safely attend and compete," wrote Valorant Global Communications Lead, Anton Ferraro.
Previous Valorant Champions Tour LANs have been held in Reykjavík and Berlin, but all have been behind closed doors with even press access limited.
Valorant Heads To Copenhagen And Istanbul
Even as the pandemic has waned, logistical problems have beset the tournament, the most recent Masters event faced problems as the fallout of the Ukraine war caused disruption with European-based rosters, with those that made it failing to impress in Iceland.
The region will have a chance at redemption in Copenhagen, Denmark with the second and final Masters event of the season. Set to take place between July 10-24, the tournament will feature twelves teams competing for VCT points and cash prizes.
Following that will be the Last Chance Qualifier in August which will settle the final places for Valorant Champions, set to be held in September, in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Valorant mad country will be a fitting place for the final, with sixteen teams descending on the city where east meets west in what is sure to be Valorant's biggest event yet.
