The PKM is one of the best weapons from Modern Warfare 2019 that's still viable in Warzone. Here's the best attachment setup for the PKM, and a loadout to use it with.
The PKM is one of Warzone's oldest LMGs, but it's still one of the most competitively viable weapons in its class. The TTK is ever so slightly longer than the Bren (about 25 milliseconds), which is currently considered the best LMG in the game. But in exchange for that slightly longer TTK, the PKM has bigger mags, better recoil control during sustained fire, and longer maximum range potential. So if you consider yourself a support player, and you're patient enough to make the most out of a good LMG, you should build yourself a PKM. Here are the attachments you want.
The Best PKM Attachment Setup
Component | Attachment |
Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor |
Barrel | 26.9" Extended Barrel |
Optic | VLK 3.0x |
Laser | Tac Laser |
Underbarrel | Snatch Grip |
We'll take the Monolithic Suppressor and the longest barrel available, because this is Warzone and we want as much range and bullet velocity as possible. The laser should offset the sluggishness of this beast just enough, and the snatch grip will keep those follow–up shots on target with its benefits to recoil control. In this loadout, the VLK can be swapped for an optic of your choice, but don't think you can get away with using the iron sights on this puppy – nowhere near good enough, especially for longer-range use.
The Best Secondary, Grenades & Perks For A PKM Loadout
The Best Secondary Weapon For The PKM
The best secondary for a PKM is the Armaguerra. Imagine this: you're holding down the open plains of Caldera, the PKM churning out rounds at 750 a minute, when suddenly – disaster; "Behind, behind!" Another team heard the shots, and now they're trying to jump you, what can you do? Freeze-frame. The PKM is too slow for CQC, but your team needs to deal with the immediate threat. That's where Amped and the Armaguerra come in. here is our best Warzone Armaguerra setup.
The Best Equipment For The PKM
Lethal | Thermite |
Tactical | Gas |
Now for equipment. Thermite is a good choice because as a support player, vehicles are your responsibility to deal with. The Gas Grenade is coming instead of a Heartbeat Sensor, because someone else on your team should be using it. Ideally, the dedicated run–and–gun CQC player, the one who needs to go hunting when your team pushes in, will take the Sensor, but the support player gets more use from Gas Grenades. With Gas Grenades, you can disrupt campers and force them to move while holding their location in your sights.
The Best Perks For The PKM
Perk 1 | E.O.D. |
Perk 2 | Overkill |
Perk 3 | Amped |
We've already discussed why Overkill is worth it, and Amped will make swapping between those two primary weapons quicker. E.O.D. is the go-to perk in that first slot, unless you want to couple Cold–Blooded with Ghost.
That was your complete overview of the PKM, but if it's just too slow for you, then maybe an AR is what you're looking for?
The PKM has never been this broken:
