The Best Warzone 2.0 Victus XMR Loadout

Here is the best Victus XMR loadout.

The king of Warzone snipers. | © Activision

Warzone 2 and the DMZ are both currently played on the massive Al Mazrah map. When we first saw just how big this map was instantly thought that snipers would be the meta... but then they took away the ability for snipers to one-shot headshot (for some unknown reason). However, the Victus is still solid enough to take now enemies who are two-plated, so you can still use it fairly effectively.

With sniper rifles, we can always follow some basic rules when we're choosing attachments. We want to maximize bullet velocity, damage range and aim down sight speed, while sacrificing recoil control. The only exception in this build is that we're also taking high explosive ammunition, but we have to if we want to deal enough damage to down people with only one headshot.

For optics, we're loving the FTAC Locus SP, but there are literally hundreds of great options in Modern Warfare 2. You should choose whatever feels most comfortable to you, but we highly recommend an optic with variable zoom strength.

WZ 2.0 Victus-XMR Loadout: Secondary, Perks & Equipment

Secondary: Chimera

Chimera
One of the best sniper-supports. | © Activision/EarlyGame

With a sniper for really long distances, we need a good secondary weapon to cover the short to mid distances. The Chimera is a perfect mix between an SMG and AR and has good mobility. Right now, it definitely is one of the best sniper-support weapons out there.

Perks (Base, Bonus & Ultimate)

These are our favorite perks right now:

Base Perk

Overkill / Bomb Squad

Bonus PerkResupply
Ultimate Perk

High Alert

Thank god they got rid of perk packages. Overkill is neccessary to carry both guns and Bomb Squad will make us more resistant to explosive damage. Resupply will make sure, we never run out of flashes and High Alert is just nice if you can't always rely on the foot step audio in-game.

Equipment (Lethal & Tacticals)

LethalDrill Charge
Tactical

Flash Grenade

The Drill Charge is just amazingly good fun, so we'll take that. Plus we can use it against vehicles (and thanks to the ridiculous speed at which you throw the Drill Charge it will probably hit). Then for a tactical we've gone for Flash grenades. Now in most Call of Duty games the stun is superior, but in MW2 and Warzone 2 the flash from this grenade is insane, and even more effective than the stun grenade.

So that's our recommendation for a good Warzone 2.0 sniper loadout. If you just hate snipers though, you can't go wrong with the Lachmann 556 right now.
