The Best Warzone CARV.2 (BOCW) Loadout | Mobile Burst-Fire

The CARV.2 is a mysterious weapon that's largely unused by the community. But it's one of the best burst-fire options in the game. Here's the best attachment setup and loadout for the CARV.2.

The CARV.2 is a Tactical Rifle with 3-shot salvos. It features high damage, good accuracy and good range – only its rate of fire suffers. So why was it forgotten about for so long? Well, burst fire weapons have simply never been popular. But trust us, take this weapon with the right attachments and a backup SMG, and you'll be frying with the CARV.2.

How Do I Get The CARV.2?

The CARV.2 was launched in the middle of Season 3 during Black Ops Cold War. You can still unlock the weapon by completing one of the following challenges:

Warzone

Rapidly kill two or more players in 10 different matches using Tactical Rifles.
Black Ops Cold War MultiplayerRapidly kill two or more players in 10 different completed matches using Tactical Rifles.
Black Ops Cold War ZombiesGet 250 longshot kills with a Tactical Rifle.

Easy enough, at least in Clash.

In the above CARV.2 setup guide, we focus primarily on increasing range and bullet velocity. With the silencer, we not only conceal our position when firing, but also increase bullet velocity. The barrel acts to further increase the CARV.2's range, and the Field Agent Grip helps with recoil control. While the larger magazine is self-explanatory, as always.

For those who prefer shorter range optics, the Axial Arms 3x can be swapped out for a Microflex LED to make the CARV.2 better fit your playstyle.

Keep in mind that the pause between bursts leaves you vulnerable when using the CARV.2. That can be a problem in close-combat, as it can be advantageous to players who have a fully automatic weapon with them. So for those situations, you'll need to bring your own fast little full-auto. We've chosen the OTs 9 for this task.

The OTs has been the hard SMG meta for a long time, because it's simply fantastic. And if you use the above setup, you can't go wrong. You can read a full loadout guide for the OTs 9 here.

The Best Equipment For The CARV.2

LethalThermite
TacticalHeartbeat Sensor

Back to the Heartbeat Sensor. It's certainly not as good as it once was, but for the more passive and long-range loadouts, it's a great choice. Alongside the Heartbeat, we'll take Thermite as a good general choice.

The Best Perks For The CARV.2

Perk 1Cold-Blooded
Perk 2Overkill

Perk 3

Combat Scout

Because the CARV.2 is going to make us so capable at long range, we'll go with Combat Scout. This will ping the enemies we engage with for our teammates, and it's really clutch on Caldera. To counter enemies who use this perk, we'll take Cold-Blooded. And Overkill is obviously a requirement if we want to bring two primary weapons.

If the CARV.2 isn't cutting it for you, but you're still after something burst-fire, perhaps you should try the AUG?
