Tired of the same assault rifle loadouts? Want to sneak up on your opponents and attack from the shadows? Then try out the crossbow. Here is our best Crossbow (MW) setup guide!
Anyone who plays Warzone knows what the most popular weapon classes are. Almost all meta weapons are assault rifles, submachine guns, snipers and sometimes LMGs. Shotguns rarely make it into the meta, same with DMRs, which are probably the most unpopular weapon classes in the game. Today, however, we're looking at a very bizarre weapon from that weapon class: the Crossbow from Modern Warfare. Yep, you read that right, today we're going to present the best crossbow setup for Warzone. And trust us, once you get used to it, the crossbow is a surprisingly effective and wildly enjoyable weapon.
Anyone who likes to remain in the shadows should give the crossbow a try. With the right setup, you can down any opponent with just one hit, and you can do that from shockingly long range. Just follow the setup below.
The Best Crossbow Setup
Cable | 28-Strand-Cable |
Arms | XRK Thunder 200lb |
Optic | VLK 3.0x |
Bolt | FTAC Fury 20" Bolts |
Perk | Sleight of Hand |
The most important attachments in this build are the cable and arms, which we're primarily using to increase bolt velocity and range. Fury bolts also give us explosive spikes, thanks to which we can down a full-plated enemy with just one hit. To quickly reload if we miss a shot, we absolutely need that Sleight of Hand perk equipped too, and the VLK sight is simply the best optic in Modern Warfare. With a 3x like this, we can be effective at medium to long distances, and our secondary weapon can deal with the close-range engagements.
Equipment & Perks For A Crossbow Loadout
The Best Secondary Weapon For The Crossbow
The Crossbow is trash at close range combat, so in this loadout, we need to take Overkill and a good close-range weapon. We've opted for the Welgun - probably the strongest SMG in Warzone right now. This attachment setup will give you an incredibly strong TTK for anything from 1-20 m. And because the Welgun's recoil is also pretty easy to control, we can still use it well at medium ranges when the crossbow gets too unwieldy.
The Best Equipment For The Crossbow
Lethal | Throwing Knife |
Tactical | Heartbeat Sensor |
If we're taking a crossbow as the primary weapon, the rest of the loadout should also be designed for stealth. That's why we aren't using loud grenades and will rely instead on the silent Throwing Knives. We're also taking the Heartbeat Sensor, which is useful when it comes to sneaking up on opposing teams.
The Best Perks For A Crossbow Loadout
Perk 1 | Cold-Blooded |
Perk 2 | Overkill |
Perk 3 | Tracker |
We're taking a similarly stealth-orientated approach to perks. In the first slot, we're taking Cold Blood to counter the very popular Combat Scout. Of course, we would prefer Ghost in the second slot, but unfortunately, we need Overkill here to be able to take our second weapon. And finally, we'll use Tracker in the third slot, which allows us to see the footprints of nearby enemies.
With this loadout, we have the perfect mix of perks and equipment to remain completely silent, while at the same time having all the means to detect nearby enemies. You should check it out if you're looking for something different, the Modern Warfare Crossbow really is a fun weapon in Warzone. Of course, if you prefer the same old assault rifle loadouts over and over again, you should take a look at the new KG M40.
