Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition Content

You get a lot of benefits from buying the Vault Edition of MW2. Here are the self-explanatory bonuses:

We won't waste your time explaining what 10 hours of double weapon XP is useful for, or what a Battle Pass is. But here's a breakdown of all the less obvious items also included with the MW2 Vault Edition.

Red Team Operator Pack: Ghost, Soap, Price and Farah

The Red Team Operator Pack contains 4 skins for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, for Ghost, Soap, Price and Farah. They look fairly cool, but we all know it's going to get wilder with CoD skins:

These skins couple wonderfully with FJX Cinder Vault, also included with the Vault Edition.

FJX Cinder Weapon Vault

This is a fantastic idea, instead of a blueprint we're getting a "weapon vault". These differ from blueprints in that you can change any attachment on the gun, and it should still maintain the overall aesthetic. As opposed to with blueprints, which only show their designs on specific attachments. The weapon vault included in MW2 Vault Edition is for the FJX (a fictional, modern variant of the AR-15). Here's what the Cinder Weapon Vault for the FJX looks like:

As you can see we get various barrels, stocks and grips, but they're all in the same red and black color scheme. This is a really great idea, as the lack of customization with blueprints has been a pain point in the community for some time.

Ghost Legacy Pack (Immediate Access)

Unlike the rest of the Vault edition bonuses, you will get immediate access to the Ghost Legacy Pack if you buy this edition of the game. The Ghost Legacy Pack contains 10 blueprints for the M4 and 12 skins for Ghost, these cosmetics are usable in Modern Warfare (2019) and Warzone. Here are the skins and weapon blueprints.

Ghost Skins

As someone who completed each of MW's Battle Pass and bought the campaign remaster of Modern Warfare 2, I already had 7 of these skins. That's a decent amount, so we would advise you to check how many of these skins you have yourself before buying the Vault edition. Still, they do look cool:

M4 Blueprints

As mentioned above, if you've been an avid collector then you probably already have a fair few of these blueprints. So the Legacy Ghost pack might not be worth it. Also, the M4 is frankly not very good anymore, at least by comparison to the meta right now.

We would not recommend the Vault Edition to players expecting great legacy content. It's a nice bonus, but none of these things will be relevant for much longer. However, the new content you get in MW2 with the Vault Edition be worth the price point depending on how much you expect to play.

Are you as hyped as we are for Modern Warfare II? Can MW2 build on the success of its 2019 predecessor? We will, of course, keep you up to date on everything concerning Modern Warfare II.
