Warzone 2 Season 3 will for the first time since launch introduce a new Gulag to the game. Here's everything you need to know.
Warzone 1 was the first battle royale game to introduce the so-called Gulag. This new system made sure players got a second chance after their first in-game death.
Basically, every killed player goes to the Gulag, where he will fight for a second chance. If he survives, he will get redeployed. Usually, this only happens after your first death and the small Gulag map is made for short and intense 1v1 battles (at least since they changed it back to 1v1 from 2v2).
To make it more interesting every now and then the developers will introduce a new Gulag map to Warzone, and with Season 3 the first new Gulag will come to Warzone 2.
- To prepare for the new Gulag, make sure your PS5 or Xbox Controller isn't causing any issues.
New Blacksite Gulag In Warzone 2
The new Gulag for Al Mazrah in Season 3 will be called Blacksite, not to be confused with Black Site, the super Stronghold. The small map is again made for 1v1 Gulag matches and described by the devs as follows:
Blacksite is a roughly rectangular, asymmetrical map with several interior spaces and long external routes, especially on the west portion of the map, where there is a large corridor that stretches between the two spawn areas. That area in particular is great for long-distance weaponry, if you have it in your Gulag Loadout; otherwise, it’s a clear path for equipment to be thrown down at the start of a duel.For close-quarters engagements, use the various buildings, where Operators can weave in and out of doorways and other openings to disorient their opponents.
Whoever wants to get some training on the new Gulag map, should make sure to check out Gunfight in Modern Warfare 2, cause Blacksite is also one of the new 2v2 Gunfight maps.
Make sure to learn the map properly because thanks to the Gulag Entry Kits introduced with Season 3, you might see the Gulag more than once a match.
