Ahsoka Season 2 Could Feature The Most Terrifying Creature In The Star Wars Universe

Ahsoka is stacked with iconic villains like the Nightsisters, Thrawn and Baylan. But it looks like Season 2 will take things to the next level, as the finale of season one teased one of the most terrifying creatures in the Star Wars universe.

The Star Wars franchise has its fair share of iconic villains and bad guys, but Ahsoka season 2 might just feature the worst of the worst, as the absolute nightmare fuel that is Abeloth might have been teased at the end of the first season's finale.

The first season of Ahsoka left many questions unanswered, especially when it comes to the motivation of Baylan Skoll. Baylan is a very interesting antagonist, because he's one of those exceedingly rare non-Sith villains.

Throughout the series, Baylan repeatedly mentions that he feels something is calling out to him, and fans have been eagerly discussing who or what that might be. One theory is especially terrifying.

Ahsoka Season 2: Fan Theory Suggests Abeloth Is Coming

At the end of season 1 of Ahsoka, we can see Baylan standing in front of two statues of Mortis Gods on the planet Peridea.

The Mortis Gods, also referred to as The Ones, are a trio of extremely powerful Force-wielders that were first introduced in the Clone Wars series. They reside in a realm outside the conventional boundaries of space and time and are a symbolic representation of different aspects of the force.

While the Father represents balance, the Daughter and Son embody the Light and Dark Side of the Force, respectively.

But there is one more character that is connected to the Mortis Gods that hasn't been mentioned, yet. Abeloth, the Mother and Bringer of Chaos.

Whereas the Father represents balance, Abeloth embodies the opposite. It's pretty much the same as the Son and Daughter, who personify the opposite sides of the Force.

While the origins of the Mortis Gods are shrouded in mystery, Abeloth was originally a mortal woman and servant to The Ones. She eventually developed a familial bond with them and ended up taking over the role of Mother.

Desiring to become immortal herself to stay with her adopted family, she drank from the Font of Power and bathed in the Pool of Knowledge. This transformed her into a Force entity of immense power, but also an unstable and malevolent being with a chaotic nature.

As Ahsoka season 1 ended with Baylan standing in front of the statues of the Mortis Gods, fans are now theorizing that it might have been Abeloth that was calling out to him.

This would make all the more sense, as Abeloth was locked away by The Ones to prevent her from unleashing chaos across the galaxy.

It's supposed that Baylan, thinking he is being called by the Father, will end up freeing Abeloth, who was manipulating him all this time. And so rather than bring balance to the force, he will instead unleash chaos.

One way they could integrate her into the show is by having her possess Shin, who would be perfect as the "Bringer of Chaos", but we'll have to wait for Season 2 to find out. We can't wait.
