Loki's season 2 is still streaming on Disney+, but that doesn't stop the show's executive producer Kevin Wright of hyping up fans even more, as he already teases a possible season 3.
Loki's first season has been a huge success, the currently running second season has fans eagerly awaiting every new episode and still, there's already talk about a possible season 3.
Kevin Wright, executive producer on Loki, sat down with Collider to answer a few burning questions. Here's the gist of it, including the happy news about the possibility of another season with the God of Mischief.
Loki Producer Sees Potential For Season 3
Wright gave lots of interesting insights in his interview, but there are two things especially that get Loki fans going. First off, it's the fact that the ongoing second season probably won't end with a cliffhanger like season 1, and the second one regards the possibility of a third season.
According to Wright, season 2 is going to be “the conclusion of these great things that [they] set up in season 1” and the team didn't want to “constantly leave people with drastic cliffhangers.” Impatient fans that have had a hard time waiting for season 2 in the past few months surely consider their prayers heard!
That's not everything Wright had to share, though. While not officially confirming anything, he sparked hope for a possible season 3:
I would say Season 1 and Season 2 were developed and created as, like, kind of two chapters of the same book. We felt pretty strongly, all of us involved, that Season 2 was about closing that book but that there are many other books on the shelf for this character and for this world.
Many other books on the shelf, you say? Makes sense as there are lots of MCU movies planned or already in the making. Same thing goes for Marvel shows, and the ever-growing cinematic universe might just have a spot for a third Loki season. I'd strongly advocate for picking up the next Loki book on the shelf!
