Snowfall Won't Get Season 7, But A Spinoff Instead

Earlier this year, the FX hit show Snowfall ended after six seasons, leaving fans craving for more. Potential good news incoming – apparently, there's a spinoff in early development, making up for audiences not getting an official season 7.

Ironically, Snowfall is just as addictive as the ever so prominent drugs in the show. That's exactly why it has been hard to accept that the show ends after six gripping seasons filled to the brim with drama.

Eventual withdrawal symptoms may be lessened by the good news that reportedly there's a spinoff already in early development at FX.

Snowfall Spinoff Instead Of Season 7

According to Deadline, a fan favorite character is set to return and continue the story of the 1990 Los Angeles drug epidemic. Wanda, played by Gail Bean, is rumored to be the new main character to prevent fans from having to go cold turkey.

At the end of season 6, Leon mentions that he and Wanda are back in LA, so that's where the spinoff will most likely take off. Executive producer Dave Andron shared even more with Deadline:

She's back and she's got a dream. She's gonna have a whole life and she's found something she's passionate about, something she wants to be a part of. This, for me, goes back to the Wanda whom we first met. If that creativity and heart go into music, I feel like she might actually be able to carve something out.

That's exactly right: Wanda returns to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of being a part of the West Coast hip hop scene.

There's no official release date to reported just yet, but we'll keep you updated on that front as always!
