Even though the show ended in 2019, the newfound success on Netflix brought Suits back into the spotlight, leading to a new show by original creator Aaron Korsh already being developed. Still, fans are on the fence about it.
The hit show Suits broke record after record when it came to Netflix and the cries for some kind of sequel have been getting louder and louder with the new audience. Following the story of Harvey Specter, Mike Ross and their endeavors as cunning New York lawyers, the show captivated fans for nine seasons.
A few weeks back, original creator Aaron Korsh wasn't too confident in a possible sequel or spinoff in the show. Still, a new show set in the Suits universe is reported to be in early development at NBCUniversal, according to Deadline.
New Suits Show Is Coming & Fans Are Kind Of Disappointed
Having Aaron Korsh work on another show should be a reason to rejoice – he has already proven he knows how to create amazing stories full of drama and fun alike with fleshed out characters to root for or hate with passion.
Still, the good news don't sit well with some fans of the original show. The "problem" is that the show probably won't be a spinoff of Suits or a whole new season, but a new show in its own right, just set in the world of Suits.
That means chances of seeing Harvey, Mike or Donna again are pretty slim which doesn't sit too well with some fans of Suits:
I mean..... if it's not at least some of the same actors/characters, it won't be worth watching.

Might be because the actual Suits spinoff Pearson didn't do too well in its time and in all honesty, Suits lived and died with the cast. The crazy good chemistry between Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty and Meghan Markle was one of the reasons why Suits was so well received.
Wishing for Suits to continue might be okay, but already condemning a new show by Aaron Korsh because it won't feature Mike, Harvey or whoever else seems a bit unfair. The new series deserves a chance, people!
The show is supposed to be "in the vein of the CSI and NCIS franchises" with a set of new characters and a new location. Apparently, negotiations about the show are still ongoing, but chances for the project are reported to be pretty good.
