Pedro Pascal Teases Fans Of The Last of Us With News About Season 2

The Last of Us was obviously getting a second season from HBO, just look how popular it's been. But until now, we didn't realize they were already going to start shooting in 2023.

The Last of Us has been wildly popular for HBO, so it was obviously going to get a second season (and its success will no doubt also boost the sales of TLoU for PC this month). It also makes sense from a narrative perspective to produce another season, as the first season of the show only covers events from the first game.

But, we thought we would have to wait years and years for Season 2. Apparently not.

TLoU Season 2 Will Begin Filming In 2023

Pedro Pascal (the actor who plays Joel) sat down with Collider recently to talk about TLoU, and during the interview he revealed that they would begin filming Season 2 in 2023. Okay, that's a bit unfair to Pedro. He tried to not be too definite with his answer, but it was pretty obvious what he meant.

When asked whether they would start filming Season 2 in 2023, the actor said the following:

In the year 2023? Oh, what season are we in now? We're getting into spring? Yes, there is a chance. Yes.

There you have it. Maybe it starts in 2024, but it seems based on this answer that Season 2 of The Last of Us will already begin filming this year. Awesome.

Are you still watching TLoU? Or have you already moved on to the new season of Halo?
