What Are Headliners in FIFA?
Headliners is a FUT promo that provides us with dynamic Special Cards. Like the Road to the Finals or the Ones to Watch players, these cards can still increase their OVR after release.
If a Headliner receives a TOTW nomination or a MOTM card, the Headliner OVR also increases. FUT 22 Headliners will also receive an additional permanent upgrade if their club achieves four back to back wins during the remainder of the domestic league season.
When Are Headliners Upgraded?
An upgrade based on a team’s winning streak will be updated on the following Wednesday. The games in which the 4 wins have to be won count from December 31st.

What Happens To Headliner Cards After Their Transfers?
Luis Diaz is moving from Porto FC to Liverpool FC. What happens to his Headliner card now? The story is complicated. Actually, he would have gotten the 4th win in a row with Porto and thus also his upgrade. However, since he was no longer a Porto player at the time of kick-off, he didn't get the upgrade. EA's Headliners website has a clear answer about the transfers:
What happens if a Headliners Player is transferred/loaned to a different club?If a Headliners player transfers/goes on loan during the season the Headliners item will remain at their previous club until they either receive an upgrade at their new club or their new club achieves a club winning streak from the time the player joins onwards. At that point the Headliners item will be updated with the player's new club.
At least that's what we thought because EA told us so, but... well, Luis Diaz already got his upgrade now despite him not having 4 wins. With EA Sports, you just never know...
FIFA 22 Headliners: Which Players Are Worth It?
Of course, a Kylian Mbappé is worth it. Not only does he have a good chance of getting one or the other TOTW nomination, but PSG also has good cards for 4 wins in a row in Ligue 1. Cheaper players would be someone like Luis Diaz or Yannick Carrasco. Think about this: Does the Headliner team have a good chance of 4 league wins in a row? Does the Headliners Star have a good chance of a TOTW Card? If you answer "yes" to both for yourself, then hit it.
But as always with dynamic Cards, there is also a good deal of speculation involved.
We'll keep you up to date on anything interesting in terms of the future of FIFA stuff. Speaking of the future of FIFA, have you heard? FIFA 23 could be the last FIFA from EA. Just crazy.
