FIFA 22 Premier League TOTS Is Here! With Ronaldo, Salah & Son

The season is getting to its most exciting phase: in the Champions League the final between Real Madrid and Liverpool is upon us and in FIFA 22 we have the Team of the Season – probably the second-biggest event of the year after the TOTY in January.

We're already incredibly hyped for the TOTS, as you can see from the beautiful tots article that our dear Lukas Scherbaum poured his blood, sweat, and tears into. Team of the Season is one of these FIFA events that's always great and extremely fun to predict the outcome of. Well... what are we waiting for?

Once again, the leakers were as precise as Ronaldinho when he takes freekicks – most of these players were confirmed even before the team went live. These stars are in the Premier League TOTS in FIFA 22:

Just take a look at the team... Mohamed Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo, Heung Min Son and many other top stars have made it into the Premier League TOTS. We do wonder about some of the names and ratings, though – why is Bruno Fernandes in the TOTS, his season at Manchester United wasn't so outstanding, was it?

FIFA 22 TOTS Premier League – EarlyGame Predictions

The Premier League is considered by many football fans to be the strongest league in the world – so it is obviously almost impossible to narrow down only 11 players who have earned their place in the Team of the Season. Let's be real here: No matter which footballers we're going to list, someone is always left out. Especially in the Premier League, you can't please everyone and.... we don't have to, sorry.

Premier League TOTS Prediction – Goalkeeper

In goal, we will probably have a tight race between David De Gea (Manchester United) and Alisson Becker (Liverpool FC) for the 2021/22 campaign. We currently expect the Brazilian to come out on top by a narrow margin. Although De Gea has been playing an extremely strong season so far, Alisson is also performing pretty well and is still keeping clean sheets in all the major competitions with Liverpool.

Premier League TOTS Prediction – Defenders

Without a doubt, Trent Alexander-Arnold has to be part of the FIFA 22 Premier League Team of the Season, after all the young Englishman has already provided 11 assists so far. Teammate Virgil Van Dijk is also back at his best after recovering from injury and is almost always playing for Liverpool. Joao Cancelo is not only one of the best left backs in FIFA 22, but also in real life... so, yeah, he should be in as well.

Premier League TOTS Prediction – Midfielders

The midfield is likely to be dominated almost exclusively by Manchester City players – after all, that's been the centerpiece of every Guardiola team since his time at FC Barcelona. If the Citizens will ever lift the Premier League trophy once again, Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva will definitely have played an extremely important role in it.

Premier League TOTS Prediction – Attackers

We don't need to talk much about Mohamed Salah, no matter what else happens from now on, he'll be in the Team of the Season, guaranteed. Period. We also see Heung-min Son as a relatively safe bet, and the only player we're not sure about is Cristiano Ronaldo. His stats in the Premier League are at least decent, but they're far from outstanding, and Manchester United generally fall short of expectations.

For us, it's a choice between him, Harry Kane and Diogo Jota. We'll just go with the “safe pick” and take Ronaldo because... EA Sports likes to include him if it's possible somehow. Personally, I'd like to see Diogo Jota, but I don't want to get my hopes up...

Premier League TOTS Prediction – Bench

In our humble opinion, some players (first and foremost Mohamed Salah) are guaranteed, with others you can or even have to argue. Especially in the offense, there are dozens of players who have performed incredibly well and really earned their spot in the TOTS. Why no Diogo Jota? Where is Mason Mount? Is Virgil Van Dijk really superior to Harry Maguire? Okay... that last one was a joke, but seriously, the Premier League Team of the Season is going to be really f*****g exciting!

In case you're wondering where the Chelsea players are, they may have been left out thanks to their Russian investor.
