Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 ends in a few days, so the question is, will there be another spectacular live event? When does it start? And what do we know about it so far? Here are the details.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 starts in a few days and players are starting to wonder if there will be a live event to see off the end of the season. We didn't get one to end Season 1, so Fortnite fans are desperately hoping that isn't the case with Season 2 as well.
That's because live events have become an important part of Fortnite as they bring the player base together at the same time for a massive in-game spectacle. The game also benefits hugely from all the attention. So, the question is: will there be a live event in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2? And if so, what will happen?
Will There Be A Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 Live Event?
You can breathe easy. Epic Games are ending Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 with an event! This is great news for fans as the last live event took place all the way back in Chapter 2 Season 8, which featured Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as The Foundation, and gave us a whole new map at the end!
It was one of the biggest events in Fortnite history, and while this season's live event may not be quite as spectacular (they're usually saved for later in the Chapter), we're happy to get one at all.
When Does The Chapter 3, Season 2 Live Event Start?
Season 2 reportedly ends on Saturday, June 4 according to HYPEX, one of the community's most reliable leakers.

The Season 2 live event will likely take play late on Saturday night, with the Season 3 update rolling out in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, we don't have an exact time for you yet, but we will, of course, update this article as soon as we know.
What Will Happen In The Chapter 3 Season 2 Live Event?
With the last Fortnite patch, "The Device" or Doomsday once again appeared on the island. You may remember from the Chapter 2 Season 2 live event where it took center stage.
During this current season, the IO came back to the island with huge airships and tanks to take revenge. In many places, there was fighting for the area, but the Resistance proved stronger, fighting back and recapturing many of the areas initially taken over by the IO. But the IO aren't giving up, they built The Collider, with The Device in the center. This is already beginning to emit threatening energy pulses.

It appears that the IO is planning to destroy the island. You can find a hint of that at the Command Cavern:

But the Resistance will not allow this; The Seven are in the process of reconstructing the giant mecha robot that fought the monster in Season 7. He is already visible in the background of the game's lobby screen.
Rumor has it that during the event, players will have the opportunity to control the mecha. As we saw in the Season 9 live event, the robot is equipped with a jetpack and is also armed with rockets. And this leaked lobby animation could reveal the way players will come to control it.

But what exactly will happen, we don't know yet, but it is looking like another great live event.
