In Armored Core 6 you will be faced with different Specs for your very own mech. As they refer to various properties, we will explain them to you and how they influence your builds!
With the release of Armored Core 6, FromSoftware is delivering us a new installment from their long-living franchise, that found its start long before the Souls franchise even existed.
With the returning Specs system, the devs stayed true to themselves and are delivering a myriad of different stats, each affecting a specific system in your Armored Core.
The specs in Armored Core 6 can be changed by mixing and matching different Units and Frame parts. These are key parts, as changing them will strongly determine which build you'll play with in the game.
Since some of you need a little fresh up or don't even know how the whole spec system works, we'll explain it to you, so you won't miss a beat while playing the game!
Let's take a look!
Armored Core 6: Part Specs Explained
The Part Specs section in Armored Core 6 gives you a deeper insight into how your Unit will operate in the coming missions, and will always be altered by Frame parts and Units alike. There is a lot to keep in mind, but the most important stats are:
Attack Power | Determines your strength and offensive power |
Blast Radius | Determines how big your AOE attacks are |
Impact | Determines the recoil from your weapons |
Consecutive Hits | Determines how many hits you can chain together |
Range Limit | Determines the range in which your Unit can deal damage |
Jump Distance | Determines how far you can jump |
Travel Speed | Determines how quickly you can manuevar your unit |
Cooling | Yet to be revealed (But could indicate the return of the overheating mechanic) |
All the other stats really depend on the type of unit you want to use. There will be vastly different builds you can pursue or come up with yourselves.
For example, playing a big bolted juggernaut with heavy cannons versus a maneuverable glass canon who needs to outmaneuver their enemies in order to deal massive damage. If you don't like fighting from distance and prefer to jump right into the action, you might find a fast melee-focused character build exciting too.
Armored Core 6: AC Specs Or Main Specs
The AC Specs are considered the main stats you need to look out for. They determine the basic capabilities of your Armored Core Unit, and can be altered by various Frame parts or a different Unit.
But let's take a look at the most important specs:
AP | Armore Points determine the overall defense |
Attitude Stability | Determines how many hits you can take until you reach the "staggered" state |
Defensive Performance | Determines your overall defense against Kinect/Energy/Explosive-type of damage |
Boost Speed | Determins your speed while Boosting |
Current Load | Determines how heavy you Unit is (its likly that this state also affect your maneuverability) |
Current EN(Energy) Load | Determines the amount of Energy is stored in your Unit |
Weight | Determines the current weight ans also affect your speed |
Since we don't have all details about the different ways the specs affect your Unit during the missions, we'll update this article once more information has been revealed!
