Codename Red is not the only Assassin's Creed, that we can look forward to. Even sooner than this one, Assassin's Creed Mirage is going to release in THIS year! Considering that the release is not that far away anymore, it makes sense that Ubisoft hasn't shared too much about Codename Red yet. They obviously don't want it to take away any of the shine on the next one coming until it's released.

In Ubisoft's reveal teaser for Codename Red, we already got to see the game's female Samurai, a character most AC fans are incredibly excited about. But the report also hinted at a second character, the Shinobi, who fled Africa and then learned from the Creed's way of life.
